Use Price as Your Gauge

Muscle Flex Women's Activewear comes in a fabulous array of fabrics and styles and all have their own characteristics.  Price is perhaps the best indicator to use when you want to determine the overall quality of your workout clothes.  Whether it is for yoga, running, the gym, circut training, cycling or everday fashion piece, the price of the activewear piece will be based on these factors:

  • Fabric
  • Stitching
  • Single Fabric Piece or Multiple Panel Construction
  • Amount of Graphic Designs
  • Additional Treatments

Muscle Flex Activewear is always determined to give you the very best women's activewear at the very best prices.  We always want to provide you with only quality constructed pieces that make you look and feel amazing.  There are many considerations when purchasing for your activewear collection and at Muscle Flex, we want to make sure you love every leggings, capri, top, sports bra and jacket you buy.  It is our commitment to you.

Fabric is probably the number one factor that determines the price of the activewear garment.  Muscle Flex Activewear comes in a wide range of fabrics from high performance Supplex to basic nylon spandex and a wide range of prices.

"Yes, it is true that the more expensive the garment, the higher quality the activewear piece is."

Our High Performace Women's Activewear is made from the highest quality of fabrics that provides everything from 360 degree stretch, durability, performance, advanced moisture wicking and so much more.  This is the primary reason that these women's activewear garments are the most expensive.  You will get years of use out of High Performance Women's Activewear with unsurpassed stitch and construction quality.

Our Women's Activewear category provides a full range of fabrics, prices and performance.  Generally, this Muscle Flex category includes all of our women's workout clothing that is not made from Supplex fabrics but that does not mean that you will not get amazing performance, style and durability.  The fabrics range from your basic nylon spandex, cotton to higher performance polymide and lycra blends.  Our Women's Activewear is very well priced and has a selection that is unsurpassed.

Our Women's Sport Fashion is a wonderful selection of fashion pieces design for women with a fitnes lifestyle.  These fashion pieces are generally not designed for workoing out but rather for everyday fashion considerations.  Many of our Women's Activewear pieces are included in this category as they cross over between the two segments.

Know Your Fabrics

This is very important in making the right choice.  Whether you want a light weight nylon spandex garment, a medium weight activewear piece or high performance supplex workout clothing, the fabric will determine the price in almost all cases.  Constructed women's workout leggings with mesh panels will be more expensive because of the added stitching and construction considerations as will women's activewear garments that have elaborate graphics.  All of these factors go into determing the cost and quality of our women's activewear.

Supplex Fabrics

Supplex fabrics and various Supplex fabric blends provide the highest level of performance and durability.  Supplex has the feel of cotton with the benefits of advanced fiber technology.  Cotton’s has a natural texture and aesthetic which is why many people make cotton their choice of fabrics. SUPPLEX® fabrics combines the traditional appeal of cotton with the performance benefits of modern fiber technology. Supplex fabrics are breathable, hold their shape, dry faster than even cotton, odor resistant and retain their color.

Polymide (Nylon) Spandex

There are many types and grades of polymide (also know as nylon) spandex fabrics.  Polymide spandex fabric blends are one of the most widely used fabrics for women's activewear because it comes in so many varying weights and constructs.  There are literally hundreds of different polymide spandex fabrics and they all have their own characteristics.  Keep this simple rule in mind:

If the fabric is shiny, it will be a lighter fabric ... if it is coarse (Cotton like) it will have a heavier fabric.

The kind of polymide spandex that a piece of women's activewear is made from can be a very big part of your decision.  If you know what kind of fabric you are looking for then you will be well on your way to choosing the right women's activewer and sport fashion for you.

Polyester Spandex

Polyester tends to be one of the more economical fabrics that is used in women's activewear and fashion.  Polyesters include naturally occurring chemicals, such as in the cutin of plant cuticles, as well as synthetics.  Polyester can be used alone or blended with fibres such as cotton and nylon.  Polyester fabrics are easily dyed, strong, light weight, and resistant to shrinking, stretching, mildew and creasing as well as sun resistant.

Polymide (Nylon) Blends

Polymide fabric blends can be one of the best types of fabric for women's activewear.  Many of these types of fabrics are blended by the fabric manufacturers with cotton, nylon, polyester and spandex.  There are hundreds, even thousands of different polymide blends that offer a wide range of feel and fit.  Muscle Flex uses only the very best polymide fabric blends to provide the best in fit, performance, fit and style.

Cotton & Cotton Blends

Cotton is one of the most popular fabrics.  Cotton fabric has very good breathable characteristics, it is hypoallergenic, soft to the touch, ideal for people with skin hypersensibility.  It also has low thermal-conductivity making it an ideal material for both summer and winter clothes.  In summer, it protects your skin from heat and in winter it preserves the warmth of your body.  However, cotton generally has lower durability, shrinks when dried in warm heat and can stretch when it gets too wet.  Cotton is definitely a personal choice when it comes wo women's activewear.

Perhaps the best use of cotton in women's activwear is when it is used in a polymide fabric blend.  Cotton can add a one of a kind softness and feel to the fabric and by infusing some cotton into a blended fabric, amazing new blends can be created that creates fabrics with all of the benefits of the cotton fiber.
